These are policies all volunteers are asked to read and follow. Once you have attended a volunteer orientation, we will also ask you to complete an emergency contact info sheet (this is similar to the Volunteer Interest Form, but requests some additional information. If you have questions or would like more information about volunteering, please let us know.
Volunteer Requirements - This document explains our expectations for volunteers, especially those working with children, and includes a Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Statement.
Online Volunteer Background Check Instructions - These instructions will help you complete the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools (WSFCS), which is a new process for our volunteers beginning in September 2014. The instructions were updated in June 2015. Please complete this process before you come in to volunteer. Volunteers who have created an account should use this page to log back in with their existing password.
Child Abuse Prevention Policy (updated 06/2015) and Whistleblower Policy - We encourage all community members and volunteers to understand our commitment to the safety of our children and families. These documents help us ensure that you know how and when to talk with staff about any concerns you have as a volunteer. We ask all volunteers over the age of 18 to complete a background check form when they begin serving at El Buen Pastor.
Social Media Policy - We encourage all staff and volunteers to learn and implement positive, safe online relationships. This policy was created with the intention of modeling safe, positive practices for our children and youth.
Youth Volunteer Policy - At EBPLCS we are pleased to offer adolescents from the greater community the opportunity to tutor younger children and this document explains our expectations and qualifications for youth volunteers.
